Spirit of the Valley 5K and 1K
Helping to Heal! The 12th Annual Spirit of the Valley Run, Walk 'n Roll (wheelchairs, strollers, adaptive bikes, etc.) 1K and 5K races are set for Saturday, September 14, 2024. Runners, walkers, and rollers are welcome for a great morning of competition, fun, food, and rock ‘n roll. The race will benefit two organizations- Veteran’s Recreational Therapy Program on the Western Slope and the Latimer House.
The race starts and ends at St. Matthew’s Church, at the corner of 27 ½ Rd. and Cortland Ave., followed by live rock ‘n roll music.
The top 3 fastest male and female 5k runners, para-athletes, and seniors will receive a medal. Top 3 fastest children under 18 years in the 5K will receive a medal. The 1k is not timed or medaled.
Brunch will be served to all participants and volunteers. Additional meal tickets are $7 and are available at the door.
Vetted and trained childcare is available at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church on a donation basis.
