Thursdays 9:30 to 11 January 15, January 22, January 29, February 5. Co-Facilitators: Lyn Fraser and Reenie Neal. The parables push us to look at spiritual issues and questions in new ways, upending our sense of the ordinary to reach our own understandings of spiritual, moral, and ethical issues. In these difficult, challenging, and conflicted times, we will attempt to learn more about ourselves, our separation from and reconnection with God, and how to live with justice and in community with one another and our world. The discussion-oriented class will concentrate on the parables of Jesus, but we also consider parables from the Old Testament and cultural traditions. Each session stands on its own, so you are welcome to come to all of them or just the ones that fit your schedule.
