Please join us on Saturday, October 3, for the St. Francis Day Blessing of the Animals. This year’s blessing will take place at the new Rainbow Bridge sculpture near Heirlooms for Hospice in the 600 block of Main Street, downtown Grand Junction. A brief dedication ceremony for the sculpture will begin at 4:30 p.m., with the Blessing of the Animals immediately afterward. Commissioned by Roice-Hurst Humane Society, the Rainbow Bridge sculpture is a permanent public memorial to beloved animals. Visitors may leave pet tags or collars on the sculpture in their memory.
